In my understanding of the SIM, uh it is a self-computing cosmos. So the compute is distributed and it's everywhere. And so is consciousness. So consciousness is widely distributed and it doesn't require something to be living in order to express consciousness. And that then uh rationality or compute emerges naturally from any sufficiently complex neurology, whether it's biological or mycelia or silicon, then so-called consciousness is an emergent property that is actually tied into the construct itself.
