Drones & Decentralization: How Cheap Tech Levels the Battlefield

Another factor in all of this that I know you've studied and you've worked this into your simulations with your classes is that that over the last 25, 26 years, the the decentralization of weapons technology has changed the landscape dramatically. In other words, the the the capability of Iran to harass or even to credibly threaten to harass ships moving through the straight of Hormuz. That capability is a relatively recent thing in the history of war and that's that's drones, that's short-range missiles, that's, you know, sea mines, the speedboats dropping mines or or whatever. But just the drones alone, you know, that's something that didn't exist in the year 2000. The US Navy could credibly dominate a region with an aircraft carrier. That is no longer the case. So, speak to this, please, how it it doesn't take hardly anything. In fact, one of my previous guests said that all Iran needs is girl scouts with slingshots on the shoreline. And Yeah.
