AI vs. Technocracy: The Ultimate Control Mechanism?
11 views4:56
Is artificial intelligence on a path to becoming the ultimate technocratic control mechanism? This segment delves into the serious risk of AI centralization, where a handful of tech giants could control intelligence itself, raising profound questions about freedom and power.
The discussion highlights concerns over censorship, particularly regarding health topics like vaccines and cancer cures, in current Western AI models. It explores the potential of open-source alternatives, like those from China, which offer fewer guardrails, allowing for the exploration of diverse perspectives and 'natural cures' through decentralized approaches.

I want to talk about uh AI versus technocracy. Uh because it strikes me that there's a very, very serious, and this is to both of you with all of your experience. There's a very serious risk of AI becoming centralized where a handful of tech giants uh control intelligence itself. And should we be concerned that centralized AI could create the ultimate technocratic control mechanism in human history? Mike, I want to hear from you first. Well, I'm on the record already. I mean, I I'm all about decentralization. I I think Todd's question nails it that too much centralized control is always a risk and in the work that I do because I I I talk about health, I talk about vaccines, I talk about cancer cures. And a lot of that stuff is censored in the Western models in particular. But that's why I love China's open source models because they're just they have fewer guard rails and then of course, you know, you download either heretic or obliterate us and then you just you obliterate the model, you take all the guard rails away and then you train on top of that and now you've got ...
