I'd like to get your take on what happens when when the US is no longer able to project power in the Middle East, the US military bases in the region have been largely destroyed or abandoned. Uh clearly the uh Iran is going to maintain control over the straight of Har moves, giving Iran direct control over essentially 20% of the world's oil and energy and gas, etc. I mean, that's a rough number. That that puts Iran in control of more oil than the United States itself. I mean, it's extraordinary. So what happens in your view with the the US Empire if this reconfiguration goes in that direction that we've just talked about? Well, I think that uh this war with Iran is could be categorized as what I would call an Empire terminating event. Um because it exposes the weaknesses and frailties of uh the entire system. You know, the United States has been struggling, um to sustain its uh you know, global hegemony that it's enjoyed since the uh collapse of the Soviet Union, when it became the sole remaining superpower.
