Trump's Economic Contradiction: Is the GOP Nihilistic?

Let me ask you an economics question here. Uh I used to when when Joe Biden was president, I would mock the Democrats for threatening to investigate grocery stores for failing to lower food prices quickly enough. Oh the oil thing. Yeah. So of course Trump comes out and says, I'm going to have the DOJ investigate the oil companies for not lowering the gas prices quickly enough. And I'm like, my God, you know, in one sentence you abandon free market principles, you you admit you have no understanding of logistics and how oil is priced and and competition, everything. And and is isn't the GOP supposed to be, you know, anti-regulation and pro-free market like let the market find real the you know, price signaling and everything. He just threw all that out the window. The hardest lesson for me to have learned the last 10 years has been that whatever you think of the Democrats, they are principled. Now, maybe we don't agree with their principles, but they are very principled. The Republicans believe in nothing. The Republican Party is a nihilistic party. I'm not saying the voters.
