We begin tonight with a food safety report from the state of Florida that reveals alarmingly high levels of a toxic herbicide in some of America's most popular breads. New data from the Healthy Florida First Initiative, released by Governor Ron DeSantis and Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo, provides hard numbers, moving beyond vague warnings. Their independent lab testing found glyphosate, the active ingredient in roundup herbicide, in six out of eight common bread products tested. The concentrations are startling. Sara Lee Honey Wheat bread topped the list at 191 parts per billion. Nature's Own Butter bread registered 190 ppb, and Wonder Bread Classic White came in at 173 ppb. These are not trace amounts.
