I even remember something more granular, uh, during my last combat deployment into Afghanistan in 2011, uh, we had one of these forward outposts in the Kunar province, uh, that took an entire brigade, uh, once a month and sometimes twice a month, but for just to get supplies to the forward, uh, FOB. And so we had to have air cover to go because the Taliban had access and control of all the terrain on either side of the one road that went in and out. Uh, we were always getting harassed and sometimes we even suffered casualties, etc. Everything just to get one forward operating base to so that they keep having supplies and that they basically did nothing.
