The Glacial River Warren: North America's Ice Age Megaflood

What I remember thinking at the time and then I forgot about it, but it marinated in my brain for for four or five or six years. I came back to it and I realized because my intuition was, God, it looks like this was like a gigantic channel, a river here. Because I could because the the the entrenching of the Minnesota River created a landscape that was like a miniature version of this larger landscape. Now as I go down here, you can trace, it becomes very obvious as we go, let's see, I'll zoom out. You can follow the path of the river, and the modern river, you can see is minuscule compared to the ancient ice age valley. Oh, yeah. So this valley was conveying huge volumes of water, and estimated, uh, well, let's see, the the geological estimate by by hydrologist was that during the melting of the ice sheet, the water flow here, I would have to look it up quickly, but it was 4,000 times greater than the flow of the modern Minnesota River.
