China's AI Power Play: Cheap Electricity, Global Dominance

The biggest homes actually comes out of China because, believe it or not, yeah, which may seem counterintuitive, but that's because they have cheap electricity. And, and so China will become the inference hub of the world because not only do they have plenty of land and they can build these things much more quickly, but then they have much lower cost per kilowatt hour of electricity. And since the internet is global, you know, why, why would I pay Anthropic $200 a month when I can pay Deepseek $5 a month or less and get comparable, you know, coding or bug fixing inference? See, that's the other thing, Hakim, is that these data centers are being built in areas where electricity is very expensive and it's going to be even more expensive, especially in the eastern grid.
