How Decentralization Toppled Empires: Lessons from the American Revolution

I just want to add, I've compared it to, for example, the you know, it wouldn't be the first time that decentralization of manufacturing technology and innovation uh caused the the the failure of an empire. So for example, the war of Independence in the United States, with the widespread decentralized manufacturing of originally muskets and then later rifles, enabled the colonials to to beat the British Empire. Because the British Empire were fighting the old method of war standing in a row, while our guys were doing, you know, basically, you know, 18th century gorilla warfare. Yeah and the gorilla warfare aspect particularly in the American South during the Revolutionary War was really complicating for the British. They did not know how to adapt. Um, yeah, no that's that's that's a great point and I I love that you brought up the American Revolution because I feel like we often sort of gloss over that. And it's just like, oh yeah, there was George Washington and we did this. But but there was a lot of great examples in that conflict, the United States being the underdog. We were the insurgency. You know, we really uh in many respects, ...
